Founded in 1989, Katy Manor is owned by the Cooper County Nursing Home District and operated by Tiffany Care Centers, Inc. and is a designated CMS 4-Star Quality facility, received the AHCA Bronze Quality Award Winner and was nationally recognized as a 2017-2018 Best Nursing Home by US News and World Report. Located in the heart of Cooper County, our facility consists of twenty private and twenty semi-private rooms. All rooms have private telephones and television hook-ups. Personal belongings – pictures, chairs, etc. – are welcome as space permits. We are dedicated to making our residents “feel right at home!”
The focus at Katy Manor is on rehabilitation and recuperation. We strive to help our residents recover as much functional ability to regain the independence they deserve. Nursing is available 24 hours a day from licensed staff under the supervision of a Medical Director. Individualized care programs and a handicap-equipment van for transportation for doctor appointments are also available.
Our highly trained staff of professional care givers provide skilled nursing care services for a variety of medical conditions such as diabetes, post-surgical wound care and IV therapy. We also offer a comprehensive therapy program, provided by our team of therapists we offer Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy to help our patients recover from stroke, hip replacement surgery and other debilitating events. Short term rehabilitative stays also available. For the convenience of our residents, we contract medical services in-house such as chest X-rays, and electrocardiograms and blood work.
One key amenity is our open restaurant style dining. When staying at Katy Manor, our kitchen is always open and you can choose from a variety of menu options for every meal. Our dietary staff will work to make sure all dietary needs are met, including special diets, and family members are always welcome to share meals for a minimal fee.
Other facility amenities include living room/chapel, dining room, physical therapy room, social services room with private visiting area, onsite beauty shop, raised garden beds for wheelchair accessibility and fenced patio with a beautiful gazebo to enjoy the outdoors.
Wide range of activities includes religious services, trips and excursions, resident council meetings, crafts, cooking, coffee socials, exercise and sports games, family dinners and cookouts, intergenerational events. There is an active chapter of the “Red Hat Society” at the facility.
A private hospice room is available for use by family who are facing end of life circumstances. Our trained staff will provide assistance and guidance during this time of need and have a great relationship with many local hospice agencies.
